RECOMMENDED AGE: 14+
CONTENT: Engineering, Physics and Leadership
This is an engineering, physics and leadership class. Students will work together to plan which projects they will build under the direction of their mentors. They will learn how to build things such as a potato cannon, a water balloon launcher, and a match lit rocket. They will learn about creating and following plans for the projects, gathering supplies, working within a budget, building, failing, and trying again. They will also learn the physics or other science at play in each project. While building these projects they will learn to ask questions, make connections, recognize patterns, use the habits of a scientists, discover engineering principles, live with proactiveness, live personal mission and take stewardship for assignments.
