KEY OF LIBERTY

TIME:

PREREQUISITES: 12 years and older

CONTENT: Colonial America and the Revolutionary War

How can we make America great again if we don't know what made it great to start? As practice scholars begin their journey into the founding of America, the Revolutionary War, and the Constitution, they take a look at what freedom means and how our lives might be different without those freedoms. They will delve into the lives of some of the Founders, and try to determine what made them special, and what made them human.  They'll study original documents like The Mayflower Compact, and The Declaration of Independence and learn how it all applies to them specifically. During this class, each scholar is challenged to earn awards by completing specific requirements.

It is estimated that the scholars will study 5-10 hours per week preparing for this class.

MATERIALS: Books, supplies and awards included in tuition
