At The Helm

What boy could not benefit by having core values and morals reinforced in a fun setting with their friends around to motivate them to do better?  In this lively class we will be reading stories, doing fun activities, and learning about ​We will learn about Benjamin Franklin, how he was a wealth of information and discovery, and known for his strong character, choosing one virtue to work on at a time. 

Mindful Misses

In our clubs we will be studying Abigail Adams. As she homeschooled herself, she was known for her knowledge, persuasive ideas and thought provoking letters, was a woman of virtue. In this class, we will explore character and virtue as we read books, do activities, play games, and discuss and learn together.  Each month a new value will be introduced and challenges to work on it at home.  There will be time to share those experiences each week. 

My Side of the Mountain
We'll be teaching and inspiring character traits that Sam in the book, My Side of the Mountain exhibits,  as well as teaching the outdoor skills he uses.  Many of the classes will be outdoors throughout the year to develop the survival and practical skills they learn.  It will also include a nature study aspect to develop observation, art and writing skills. More...
