Literary Analysis and Film Making
FIRST SEMESTER: Scholars will learn literary analysis through short stories and chapter excerpts. They will also work on writing and applying their knowledge to their own stories. They be reading and discussing a novel.
SECOND SEMESTER: Students will apply analysis patterns that they learned in first semester to films that others have created, as well as their own creations. They will also learn how to use film equipment while creating their own commercials and short films. They will work both individually and as a team.
REQUIREMENTS: Students 14+ who are prepared for writing or film homework every week. They should be prepared to read and discuss a classic book and a book of short stories.
